Idiosyncrasy ♥

March 5, 2010 I had a wonderful opportunity interviewing Idiosyncrasy. Now I know that some of you may not be familiar with them but after you read this article, you will have better understanding. These three individuals met as freshmen at Johnson & Wales University (currently attending) and they have been inseparable since. The passion that they have for styling is out of this world. They are true to their talent and humble. I asked each of them how they would describe their style, and it was very interesting because they didn't use the word style, instead they used the word "mood". I was pretty intrigued by that phrase because that is really what style is. Style is expressing you mood for how you may feel at the present moment. When you first see them, you're probably going to assume that they are all from the same location. WRONG! Toya(19) is originally from Englewood, New Jersey, Terrell(19) is from Fayetteville, North Carolina and Queen(20) is from Brooklyn, New York. I asked the trio what brought them to Charlotte and they said that they wanted a change of scenery and they feel that Charlotte has alot of potential to get things started with the fashion industry. I also asked the trio, when they're not in class what do they do on their spare time, and they said they design accessories and sunglasses. So not only are they stylists but they are creative designers that mix vintage pieces with modern day pieces. When asking them about expanding their brand once their name is out there, they said that they will remain the three stylists of Idiosyncrasy. They wasn't rejecting the fact there is other talent but they are familiar with each other's work and have a great work ethic also. After graduation they want to really be able to pursue their career in styling and not just as a retail sales associate. I told them, that they are able to do whatever they put their minds too and don't ever let anyone steal your dream. Below are samples of some of their work.
